Castles and Cathedrals of the English Countryside, May 6-18

Gilly Sakakini, Guild Faculty member, is hosting an art tour of the English countryside, with visits to cathedrals, country chapels and historic sites. Richard and Liz Caemmerer will travel as artists-in-residence, focusing particularly upon the liturgical artwork of Stanley Spencer. Workshops by Gilly and Richard in sketching, painting and fabric dyeing are included in this unforgettable experience.

Cost of this tour is 800 British pounds, which is approximately $1300 U.S. Dollars at the current exchange rate. This includes all accomodations, meals, travel and art materials during the tour. It does not include airfare to and from London, three meals (one lunch, two dinners) that we plan to have in local restaurants, or personal spending money.

Participants are asked to send a deposit of $500 U.S. Dollars to the Guild by December 31st. Reservations will be kept in order of deposits received. All other interested parties will be kept on a waiting list. The balance of the costs will need to be paid by March 31, 2010, based upon the current exchange rate.

If you are interested in participating, contact Dan at dan@artfaith.com for more information.
